Artist’s Statement

“Janie Cribbs is a Singer/Songwriter  and Artist who makes her home on Whidbey Island. Surrounded by everyday beauty and constant inspiration she creates, writes and paints the narrative of her life and the precious reality of living in the moment. Influenced by old prints and tiny vintage trading cards as well as the constant visitors to her bird feeders, each painting reflects her thoughts…..

“I get enormous pleasure painting birds. Larger than life,in various surroundings they seem to be looking through a window into our earthbound lives inviting us to fly.”

Currently recording a new CD – “MOJO MEDICINE SHOW”- with her partner Joe Reggiatore  and a host of stellar talents, as well as painting her “Little Saints and Singers” (Birds).  Janie’s life is full of surprises and blessed with grace.
