Nola Allen

Artist’s Statement

A native of western New York State, Nola Allen has worked in various media since childhood but has concentrated on watercolor since moving to Seattle 34 years ago. She is a member of NWWS and Seattle Co-arts and has won numerous prizes for her work. She has studied with Jerry Stitt as well as other artists, local and national. Her work in landscapes and florals reflects a life long love of the beauty of nature. She also enjoys a very active career as a chamber music musician and accompanist performing throughout the northwest.

Nola Allen began formal study with a professional artist at age 8 and studied with various teachers in both the US and Germany. She received a Bachelor of Music degree in organ and piano from Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio.
